UK-based Filipino nurse and content creator John Steven Soriano, more popularly known as Nurse Even, has officially tied the knot with his longtime partner, Paul Szom.
The couple exchanged vows in a heartfelt wedding ceremony held in Newcastle, United Kingdom, on July 31. On social media, Nurse Even shared glimpses of their special day.
“Sa hirap at ginhawa. 🤍🖤 #SzomoRiano,” Nurse Even simply wrote in a caption.
He also posted their wedding video, which featured their touching vows to each other. The couple reflected on their journey and shared promises of a lifetime together.
“John Steven Soriano, from that very first meeting, I knew you were different. Bold, brilliant and just the right amount of extra,” Paul said in the video, as scenes from their ceremony played.
Paul also expressed how he will continue loving Nurse Even and be his cameraman whenever he shoots his vlogs and social media contents.
“And I vow to love you through every mood. I promise to be your travel partner for life. From rainy weekends to sun-drenched escapes and I even vow to continue loving you when you're constantly filming and I’m being your cameraman,” he remarked.
Paul ended his vows with a heartfelt promise: “The good days, the messy days, I choose you. I choose your heart. I choose your humor, your fire and your fierce work ethic. This is my vow, my whole heart and my lifetime promise to you, to love you, to laugh with you and for us to grow old together from now and forever.”
On his end, Nurse Even looked back on their beginnings during the pandemic.
“Paul, from the moment we met during one of the most uncertain times the world has known, I knew there was something unshakeable between us. While the world shut down, you opened my heart,” he heartily said.
Nurse Even went on: “In all seasons of life, I vow to protect you. I vow to protect the love we built. I vow to keep choosing you over and over. Rawr!”
“You are my home, my peace and my forever. And I am so proud to be yours, my gwapo (handsome).”
In the video, Nurse Even’s parents were present on their special day as they flew to the UK for their wedding.
Fellow Filipino content creator and radiologist Dr. Alvin Francisco, who was previously “shipped” with Nurse Even on TikTok, was also present where he wrote: “Lumipad ang aming team para sa kasal ni Kunars ❤️.”
On his personal Instagram, Paul thanked everyone who celebrated with them.
“Absolutely EPIC 72 hours of fun, laughter and celebrations! Huge thanks to all our incredible family and friends who travelled from very far and wide to be here. You made it everything we hoped it would be and more. Also big thanks to the team at The Vermont Hotel and Above Newcastle - you were amazing! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” he said in a post.
Just before their wedding, Nurse Even celebrated his 33rd birthday in July.
“33 today. 🤍🎂🙏🏻,” he said before adding hashtags “kunars,” “nurseeven” and “pretty check.”
Paul also posted, “Brilliant couple of quality days spent with family; Cousins visiting from New Zealand, showing them 'The Toon', AND celebrating Keven’s (Nurse Even) birthday! ❤️🎂.”
The couple also recently gave a sneak peek of their new home.
“I think ready na ako ipasilip sa inyo ang bahay because this time nasa 40 to 50 percent na yari ang bahay. Ramdam namin ni Paul na parang medyo sa amin na yung bahay na parang personality na namin yung bahay kaya very excited ako ipakita sa inyo ang natapos namin,” he said.
Nurse Even rose to fame on TikTok through his humorous point-of-view (POV) skits and relatable content as a nurse. He has since gained over 1 million followers and more than 33 million likes.
In April, he went public with his relationship with Paul and announced their engagement after five years of keeping it private.
“For the past five years, we’ve kept our relationship private. We wanted to protect it from opinions and comments that could hurt us,” Nurse Even said.

“But one day I realized, our parents and families support and love us, our close friends are genuinely happy for us, and we’re getting married soon.
