Kapamilya actress Maris Racal marked her 28th birthday with a meaningful celebration as she organized a special tree-planting activity with her fans, the Mariestellers.
On her social media page, Maris shared a video from the event, where she and her fans planted trees together. “Planted 333 trees with my fans! π±π,” she wrote.
The actress expressed her gratitude to her supporters, calling them her source of happiness and inspiration. “hey @mariestellersofficial and to all my fans around the world, thank you for your unwavering support for me and my career,” she added.
Maris also thanked the brands that continue to trust her, saying she is grateful to be part of their journey. “You are my source of happiness and inspiration. Every time you show up at my events, it warms my heart so much. I love you all!!” she expressed. “I also want to thank the brands that continue to trust and grow with me. Grateful to be part of your journey. πͺ· Salamat π«ΆπΌ.”
Aside from being an opportunity to bond with her supporters, it was also an act of service to the country as trees are a natural barrier against rains and flood.
In her video message, Maris explained the significance of her birthday activity. “Hi guys! Maris here. It’s my 28th birthday and for my birthday, magtatanim kami ng punongkahoy para magsave sa atin sa mga baha,” she said.
She happily shared that she had already planted six trees during the activity and looked forward to planting even more with her fans. “Magandang bonding din ito sa mga Mariestellers and me. This is a day of friendship and planting trees,” she added. “Naka-anim na plants na ako today and so far masaya siya and mas magiging masaya pa ito kapag mas marami pa.”
Just last week, Maris posted a birthday greeting for herself on Instagram, where she shared her wish with a touch of humor and advocacy. "It’s my birthday today. Ang wish ko lang ay DPWH. π Di Pwede ang Walang Hustisya," she said.
A day before her birthday, Maris joined a protest against corruption, calling for government accountability and transparency, particularly on the controversial flood control projects of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
She also enjoyed a simple celebration with her family and loved ones, posting: “28, mamahalin kita.”
Her fanbase also greeted her with a message: “May this year and the next bring you even more opportunities you deserve, and may you shine fearlessly. π Here’s to more dreams, more laughter, and more moments to STELLA-brate where you rise with confidence and joy. We love you, @mariesteller π©·π.”
Maris first rose to fame as the runner-up of Pinoy Big Brother: All In in 2014. Since then, she has starred in several Kapamilya programs such as Hawak Kamay, Maalaala Mo Kaya, Ipaglaban Mo!, Oh My G!, Ningning, We Will Survive, The Kangks Show, and Can’t Buy Me Love.
