Actress and host Camille Prats and her husband, VJ Yambao, recently took “a quick date” as they celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary.
On her social media page, Camille shared how she and her husband marked their special day by starting a new anniversary tradition.
“9 years married today ❤️ Was able to squeeze in a quick date while the grandparents take over the kids. Such a great way to cap off our trip. So, we started a new anniversary tradition,” Camille shared.

The actress shared that they spent the day reflecting on the past year on what they were grateful for and the goals they hope to pursue together in the coming year.
“Whenever we celebrate this day, we talk about these things:
1. What God taught us this past year and how we’ve witnessed His faithfulness in situations.
2. Three things we’re grateful for this past year.
3. 3 things we will prioritize this coming year.”
Camille went on: “By doing this, we were able to look back at the challenging moments we’ve gone through together, how we responded to them and the result of surrender, prayers and obedience. And also to appreciate the surprises that came along as we let God lead and provide. ❤️.”
Camille explained that the tradition allows them to look back on both their challenges and triumphs as a couple.
“By having these kinds of conversation, we get to look back and really think about the good things and how time continues to test us as it brings us. to different seasons. And as we continue to seek and put our trust in Our Father, we are reminded that there is nothing to fear for what is to come but only room for gratefulness for what was and hope for what tomorrow brings,” she remarked.

She ended her message, saying: “Cheers to 9 years my love ❤️ @vjyambao1 Can’t believe were back to where everything 're-started.'”
Aside from sharing their new tradition, Camille also listed down “nine significant things” she learned throughout nearly a decade of married life.
“1. I married a man who likes things organized. 2. He taught me how to be practical and frugal, to live simply. 3. He prefers it when I don’t wear make up. 4. The blessing of growing and seeking the Lord together. 5. What keeps a marriage going isn't just love and good feelings, it’s forgiveness,” she wrote across the photos.
“6. Most battles are fought through consistent prayer not by making point is taken. 7. Blessed to be led and loved by a husband who loves the Lord, who allows himself to be molded by Him. 8. The point of marriage isn't for selfish gain, it is to give and serve selflessly, to think of others other than yourself and to forgive as I am forgiven. I am not perfect, but I am perfected by the grace and love of God that allows to overflow into our marriage. 9. I married an adventure seeker and I am living the best time of my life exploring and dreaming,” she continued.
Camille and VJ tied the knot in January 2017 after dating for more than two years. The two were classmates in grade school and reconnected in 2012 during a chance meeting at a beach in California, which eventually led to their relationship.

They now have a blended family with their children: Nala and Nolan, VJ’s son Ice from a previous relationship, and Camille’s son Nathan with her late husband, Anthony Linsangan, who passed away from cancer in 2011.
