Kapuso actor Ruru Madrid is embracing his new role as an uncle to his sister Rere Madrid and her husband’s, basketball player Kai Sotto, first child, Baby Atlas.
Ruru recently shared a glimpse of his first meeting with his nephew, accompanied by his girlfriend, Always Yours Never Mine actress Bianca Umali.
“TITO RURU NA AKO! 🥹🤍 Congratulations, Bunso at Bayaw, sa isang napakagandang biyayang ipinagkaloob sa inyo. 🤍,” Ruru wrote.
In July, Rere and Kai held a gender reveal celebration surrounded by their family and friends. The occasion also doubled as a birthday celebration for Kai.
The couple then revealed that they were expecting a baby boy.
“From tiny kicks to big dreams, our greatest adventure is just beginning It’s a BOY 👶🩵 Our first little one is on the way, and we couldn’t be more excited to meet you, son. The secret’s out, and our hearts are already yours,” the couple said.
The actor also expressed how proud he is of Rere as she begins her journey into motherhood.
“Re @reremadrid , sobrang proud ako sa’yo. Mommy ka na! 🥹 Alam kong hindi naging madali ang lahat, pero look at you now. You did it, Bunso. ❤️,” he added.
Ruru also sent his brother-in-law, Kai, a message of support, acknowledging the challenges of being away from his family because of his career.
“Bayaw @kzsotto , alam ko rin na hindi madali para sa’yo na mapalayo kay Baby, pero ginagawa mo ito para sa kanila. Saludo ako sa’yo, Bayaw. 🤍,” he said.
As he finally met his nephew, Ruru assured Atlas that he and Bianca will be there to support and love him every step of the way.
“Nandito lang kami ni Tita Bianca para sa’yo, Baby Atlas. We’ll be here to watch you grow, support you, and love you every step of the way. Welcome to the world, Atlas. 🤍 We love you! 🧸,” he expressed.
In a previous post, Rere first gave a glimpse of a special moment between Kai and their baby in a now expired Instagram Story where they officially announced that Rere gave birth.
“A blessing I will love, nurture, and protect with everything I have,” Rere wrote.
Rere and Kai surprised fans in late May when they revealed that they had tied the knot in an intimate garden wedding in Alfonso, Cavite.
Weeks later, the newlyweds announced that they were expecting their first child together.
“For a while, we’ve been living in our own little world. Holding onto a secret that made every day feel like an adventure. Every moment, every plan, every quiet smile. It was all for you. And now, we finally get to share it,” the couple said.
"WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!! Our greatest adventure is just beginning, and you’re already the best part of it. 🍼✨,” they continued.
