Anne Hathaway is taking a well-deserved break after wrapping up the press tour for Verity, her final film release of the year.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Anne joked that she would "vanish in a plume of smoke" following the release of the movie. True to her word, the actress did exactly that in a playful Instagram video as she temporarily bid farewell to her fans.
In the clip, Anne appeared alongside her hair and makeup team as she prepared to attend the premiere of Verity.
"So, we’re heading out to the Verity premiere. Verity comes out in theaters Friday, October 2nd, and then on October—,"she said before suddenly disappearing in a cloud of smoke.
Anne also expressed her gratitude to everyone who supported her throughout the year.
"Over and out @verityfilm in theaters today!" she wrote in the caption.
“Thank you everyone for your support, and for making this an incredible, unforgettable year," she added.
Verity is Anne’s fifth film release this year, following Mother Mary, The Devil Wears Prada 2, The Odyssey, and The End of Oak Street.
In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in August, Anne opened up about her packed schedule and admitted that she initially couldn't believe how many of her films were set to hit theaters in the same year.
“When I got my schedule for this year from all the wonderful film studios that I’ve worked with, I saw it and I kind of thought I was being punked,” she admitted.
The actress went on: “But then they showed me that no, no, no, all these [release] dates were going to hold and I just said as long as audiences don’t get sick of my face — which I wouldn’t blame them, I would not blame them if they did — let’s go.”

Beyond her busy year in Hollywood, Anne also celebrated a new milestone in her personal life.
In June, the actress announced that she was expecting her third child with her husband, Adam Shulman. She shared the exciting news through a short Instagram video showing off her baby bump.
