Actress Candy Pangilinan shared her take on the trending issue of Patrick Garcia and Jennylyn Mercado. As a mother herself, she shared that she can relate to Jennylyn as she has a child who is neurodivergent.
In an interview earlier this week, the celebrity mom was among the many celebrities that gave their opinion about the issue which has gone viral on social media.
Candy maintained that Patrick could’ve gone to Jennylyn and patched things up privately rather than going straight to the interview with Ogie Diaz.
“Opinyon ko lang naman ito no ‘wag naman kayong magagalit bilang may anak din naman akong special na neurodivergent. Para siguro maayos ang lahat–– bago siguro siya nag salita sa maraming tao–– eh pinuntahan niya muna si Jennylyn at inayos niya ito ng tahimik. Privately, nagusap sila, kinalala niya si Jazz. Just the two of you, just privately, at nagkaroon sila ng taimtim na pag uusap at nakilala niya silang dalawa,” she expressed.
The celebrity mom then continued with how the actor could get to know more about his son which would lead to reconciliation. Patrick previously shared in the interview that he hasn’t seen their son, Jazz, since 2017.
“Pati si Jennylyn nagkaroon ng kapatawaran–– unity, reconciliation. Pati with Dennis, ‘di ba? Binigyan niya ng pagkakataon at makilala din niya ang mga kapatid ni Jazz… Nagkaroon ng ganun kasi si Jazz is a child–– a neurodivergent and will always be a child. He will have all the chance to be a friend to this child. Given a chance, give himself a chance to be a friend to this child of his,” Candy maintained.
Candy shared in the same interview that she has only talked to Jennylyn once in the past and saw Jazz twice because her child, Quentin, has the same coach as the former.

For her, this could be the perfect time to fix the relationship between the actor and his son with the actress.
“To think na sinabi niya ata na sa interview–– umamin ata si Patrick sa interview–– na malaki ang pagkukulang niya. Well, I think this is the time na puwede niya ng punuin,” she ended.
