Noel Ferrer, the manager of 2020 Tokyo Olympics gold medalist Hidilyn Diaz, just hinted that the lifetime free fuel supply that she was supposed to receive hasn’t materialized. In an Instagram post and his commentary on PEP, he shared how the national athlete is just keeping mum about it.
Hidilyn received the lifetime fuel incentive after she brought home the country’s first gold medal at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics through her impressive run at the women’s 55kg weight class in weightlifting.

As the prices of fuel soar higher globally, netizens couldn’t help but be jealous of the incentive given to Hidilyn. Other netizens shared how lucky the weightlifter is for not even thinking about the prices of fuel.
The manager of Hidilyn then briefly gave his thoughts about the incentive and revealed that nothing has materialized just yet–– it’s been several years since she won the gold.
“Naku! Sanaol talaga. Medyo naiiling na lang ako. Si Haidie ay tumatahimik na lang at idinadaan na lang sa punchline,” Noel shared with PEP.
“Pero drawing naman talaga ang lifetime na fuel supply,” he added.
Noel didn’t give any more details as to what really happened with the incentive that Hidilyn won and asserted that it would’ve been better if the incentive pushed through for the national athlete.
“Hanggang doon na lang muna at baka may mam-bash pa sa amin sa pag-take up nito ngayong napaka-crucial na panahon. Pero waley ang lifetime supply na fuel na nai-commit,” he said.
“Idinadaan na lang sa comedy ang lahat, pero OK na OK talaga kung seseryosohin ang pagbibitaw at pagtupad sa salita,” he continued.

Noel then shared more of his thoughts about the topic on his personal Instagram account. He shared a photo of Hidilyn holding a fuel dispenser with the words “DRAWING NAMAN PO ANG LIFETIME” attached to it.
“PARANG DRAWING NAMAN PO ANG LIFETIME …. Habang maraming Pilipino ang napapakamot na lang sa ulo sa tuwing tumataas ang presyo ng gasolina…
may isang tao sa Pilipinas na hindi kailangang mag-alala,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, Hidilyn has yet to speak up about this topic as of this writing.
