Held on March 14, the annual pre-Oscars gathering continues to serve a greater purpose beyond the glitz and glamour, raising funds for the Motion Picture and Television Fund, which provides health and social services to both active and retired members of the entertainment industry.
The “Golden” singer shared snaps from the star-studded evening in an Instagram post on April 3. Among those featured in her photos were the event’s co-chair and Sinners actor Michael B. Jordan, as well as actors Damson Idris and Li Jun Li.
Arden also shared behind-the-scenes glimpses from a photoshoot and cozy snapshots with Liza.
“Celebrating, but make it cute ✨ congrats @michaelbjordan — girls night w @lizasoberano! Always good to see you @damsonidris @lijunli,” Arden wrote.
Liza later reposted the update on her Instagram Stories, echoing the sentiment with a simple but affectionate message: “Girls Night 🤍🤍”.
The latest interaction adds to a growing list of public exchanges between the two actresses in recent months, much to the delight of their supporters. In February, Liza attended the 53rd Annie Awards as a presenter, where she also shared a candid moment with the KPop Demon Hunters singer who won the award for Best Voice Acting for her role as Rumi.
Arden has also been vocal about her support for Liza’s Hollywood projects. In late March, she expressed excitement over the latter’s upcoming DreamWorks animated film Forgotten Island, even reacting enthusiastically to its newly released trailer.
“Omg I’m sooooo excited for this Liza!!! Congrats 😍😍😍😍,” Arden commented on Liza’s Instagram post.
Forgotten Island follows lifelong best friends Jo, voiced by Grammy-winning artist H.E.R., and Raissa, voiced by Liza, as they find themselves stranded on the magical island of Nakali. Inspired by Filipino folklore, the story centers on the pair’s journey home, where they must confront a difficult choice that could cost them their most treasured memories.
The film is written and co-directed by Filipino-American filmmaker Januel Mercado alongside Joel Crawford, and is slated to premiere in Philippine theaters on September 23.
