John Prats found himself looking back on cherished memories after reuniting on screen with former love team partner-girlfriend Heart Evangelista for TJ Monterde’s newest music video, “Teka Lang.”
The reunion marked a special moment not only for fans who grew up watching the pair but also for John himself, who admitted he never imagined they would share the screen again after so many years.
In an Instagram post on June 7, the actor-director expressed his gratitude to Heart for agreeing to be part of the project, describing the experience as a full-circle moment.
“Thank you Gummy 🐻 @iamhearte , for saying yes to this project. Sa totoo lang, hindi ko inakala na after so many years, makikita pa tayo ulit sa screen together,” he said.
He added that the reunion feels "surreal" bringing back countless memories from their days as one of the most beloved love teams of the early 2000s and giving them a chance to create something new.
“Hanggang ngayon parang surreal pa rin isipin. Salamat sa tiwala at sa pagpayag na maging part ng project na ito. Ang daming memories ang bumalik, pero mas masaya na nakagawa tayo ng bago para sa mga taong sumubaybay sa atin noon.”

His message resonated with fans who immediately expressed hopes that the reunion would lead to more projects together.

The eight-minute music video, conceptualized and directed by John together with filmmaker Irene Villamor, tells a story of young love finding its way back years later.
The music video opens with young sweethearts portrayed by Jairo Nolasco and Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab 2.0 Big Winner Caprice Cayetano, who met on a summer camping trip. Twenty-three years later, the two unexpectedly cross paths again on a bus. Though seated apart, the characters recognize each other and become emotional, setting the stage for a reunion that John and Heart portray.
As of this writing, the music video has garnered more than 1.1 million views, with viewers flooding the comments section to share how the surprise casting made the story even more meaningful.
Adding to the nostalgia, John previously revealed that their wardrobe team went the extra mile to recreate looks reminiscent of the era when he and the actress were one of television’s most popular love teams.
“Nakaka-nostalgic makita ulit yung vibe and feels ng era na ’yon,” he said.
John and Heart are best remembered for their roles as Yuan and Missy in the youth-oriented ABS-CBN series G-mik, where their pairing became a favorite among viewers.
