Kim Soo-hyun is set to resume activities after more than a year out of the public eye following a controversy, beginning with a photo shoot for a Philippine fashion brand, according to reports.
The development was reported on Monday by several media outlets, including the Seoul-based English-language newspaper The Korea Times and entertainment news site Soompi.
According to both reports, which cited Soo-hyun's agency Gold Medalist, the actor is scheduled to shoot an advertising campaign for Bench on July 14.
The actor has been a Bench endorser since 2021.
The shoot marks Kim Soo-hyun’s first public activity since early 2025, when he faced allegations that he had dated the late actress Kim Sae-ron while she was still a minor — claims that surfaced shortly after her death.
The "Queen of Tears" star denied the allegation, stating he only dated Sae-ron — who was also formerly under Gold Medalist — after she had reached legal age.
The controversy, fueled by the YouTube channel HoverLab, led to a halt in Soo-hyun's career, with the release of a Disney+ series starring him apparently placed on hold and several brands terminating their endorsement contracts.

South Korean police, however, have recently concluded that the evidence presented by HoverLab against the actor was fabricated and manipulated using artificial intelligence, according to reports. The channel's owner has also reportedly been arrested.
