Actor Archie Alemania broke his silence over his separation with his former partner, Gee Canlas, who he shares a child with. In an interview with veteran talent manager and showbiz columnist, Ogie Diaz, he shared how he wasn’t making the decisions in their home, claiming that the actress would always decide for them.
Archie and Gee tied the knot back in 2018 in a garden wedding in Sta. Rosa, Laguna. The actress confirmed their separation earlier this year in an interview with Boy Abunda.

The actor shared his belief that men should be the kings of their homes while the women will be queens–– adding how the latter should submit to them.
“Pareho kaming Christian ni Gee. Lahat ng pinanghahawakan ko tungkol sa pagiging maging magkarelasyon pag pareho kayong Kristiyano, yung ikaw yung hari ng tahanan at siya yung reyna. Wife submit to your husband, husband love your wife. Ang nangyayari pareho kaming hari sa iisang kaharian–– hindi pwede yun,” he claimed.
Despite his belief, Archie claimed that it never happened in their own home as Gee would allegedly be the decision maker between the two of them.
“Lahat binigay ko. Lahat, para lang ma-appease. Yun lagi yung pinagtatalunan namin dalawa, and even yung mga magulang niya mga pastor, yun din ang sinasabi sa anak nila. Pero, walang nagbago eh. I’m still holding on. May mga times na ayoko na talaga–– pinipigilan niya ako, always,” he added.

He recalled how he suggested moving houses in the past as they were still living with Gee’s parents, which the latter declined. It was only when she allegedly had a fight with her family which prompted to move out.
“Pag lipat ng bahay, sayo nagmula–– ako dapat yun eh,” he maintained.
Archie then continued to share how Gee should’ve known better and, as a Christian herself, know the teachings of their faith. He revealed how she also blocked his number.
“Dapat mas alam niya kaysa sa akin, bakit hindi niya ginagawa yun part niya? Kinekwestyon niya pa–– bakit kailangan ko magsubmit sayo? For me, ang meaning naman ng submissive is collaboration natin dalawa sa decision,” he said.
“Kung meron kang suggestion, decision, okay, pero ito yung decision ko. Ano mas maganda? Kung mas maganda yung sayo, why not? Kung mas maganda yung sa akin, sige. Pero kung hindi tayo magkasundo at sa tingin mo maganda yung sayo [at] maganda yung sa akin, sa akin yung masusunod kasi ako yung padre de pamilya,” he continued.
Meanwhile, Gee has yet to respond to Archie’s statement as of writing.
