Van Ness Wu took to social media to share his experience of meeting Johnny Depp in Shanghai, China.
The Meteor Garden star met Johnny at the Figures of the Fringe art exhibition. According to meet-in-shanghai.net, the exhibition features Johnny's more than 100 works spanning different creative forms including painting, printmaking and writing, among others.
On his Instagram page, Van Ness shared several snapshots from their meeting. "They say never meet your heroes, but man, I’m so glad I met mine," he wrote.
"Congratulations, @johnnydepp. What an experience rummaging through the different cabinets of your mind. Thank you for being such an inspiration🙏," he added.
Van Ness also expressed his appreciation for getting another opportunity to meet and speak with Johnny.
"Feeling truly blessed that we got to meet again and have another chat. 😂 If anyone is in Shang Hai, I highly recommend you stop by Figures of the Fringe exhibition," he added.
Meanwhile, Van Ness recently visited the Philippines for the F Forever 1st World Tour concert alongside Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, and Ashin.
The concert featured some of F4's most iconic songs, including "Jue Bu Neng Shi Qu Ni," "Yan Huo De Ji Jie," "Di Yi Shi Jian," and "Meteor Rain." The members also took the stage for individual performances.
Van Ness also entered a new chapter in his personal life earlier this year. The Straits Times, citing Taiwan's ETtoday, reported that the singer-actor had tied the knot with Japanese singer Emi Aramaki in May.
The report also noted that Van Ness' label, B'in Music, confirmed the marriage to the media.
Prior to reports of their marriage, Van Ness had shared that, aside from the many blessings he had received in his career this year, he had also been blessed with what he described as "the most important person" in his life.

"Every good thing comes from above. 2026 has been filled with so many blessings. Being able to tour again with the boys, being able to do what I love on stage and perform for you all… and now being blessed with the most important person in my life," he revealed on Instagram.
The post included a photo of two clasped hands, with one appearing to be wearing a large ring.
"I'm truly so grateful to be able to share this love with all of you who have supported me throughout the years," he remarked. "May God bless each and every one of you with the same love and grace He has so generously shown me. † 💜," he added.
