Netflix announced that it is set to launch a KPop Demon Hunters global concert tour.
According to a press release by Tudum, the streaming giant partnered with AEG Presents to mount the said concert which will be "a live experience that will bring elements of the two-time Oscar-winning film to life in spectacular ways."
Details regarding the tour's cities, dates, and ticket sales will be announced later this year.
KPop Demon Hunters premiered on Netflix in June 2025 and has emerged as a worldwide hit, garnering over 500 million views and becoming Netflix’s most-watched film.
Its soundtrack also became one of the biggest music releases of 2025, while fictional K-pop girl group HUNTR/X made history as the first K-pop girl group to top the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The film continued its success during the 2026 awards season after winning two Oscars at the Academy Awards for Best Animated Feature and Best Original Song for “Golden.” The win marked the first time a K-pop song received the award.
During their press room speech following the movie's Oscars wins, Maggie Kang shared how proud she was to represent her culture on the global stage. She also recalled feeling deeply emotional when South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho won Best Director at the 2020 Academy Awards.
“You know, I’m just so proud of Korean films and movies about Korea. One of the most emotional moments for me as a filmmaker is watching director Bong Joon-ho win for Parasite. The fact that we have won the Best Animated Feature with a culturally Korean film, it just feels like we have both trophies in both categories. I just feel immensely proud and really, to be honest, I didn’t want to disappoint Korea,” she remarked.

“To see it really kind of just be loved by audiences globally, it just means so much to me. It was just really a real honor for me to be able to feature all aspects of my culture that I love. For it to be accepted and loved globally by other cultures, it’s just so meaningful as a Korean filmmaker,” she said.
"Golden" also broke new ground at the Grammy Awards after taking home Best Song Written for Visual Media, becoming the first K-Pop track to achieve the feat.
