MANILA — OPM rock veteran Bamboo and band du jour Cup of Joe are teaming up once again, this time for a concert in Dubai on December 11.
Billed as “One Stage: Bamboo x Cup of Joe,” the concert is set for 8 p.m. at the Dubai World Trade Centre. The show was announced through a joint social media post by the two acts and concert organizer HOP Events.
The upcoming concert follows Bamboo’s appearance at Cup of Joe’s “Sandali: The Cup of Joe Fest” in Bulacan in May, where the former Rivermaya frontman joined the band for the festival.
HOP Events described the Dubai show as a meeting of two different sides of OPM, with Bamboo bringing the rock sound that defined a generation, and Cup of Joe representing a newer generation of Filipino music.
“Bamboo brings the raw, unmistakable rock energy that shaped a generation, while Cup of Joe carries the warmth that's made their songs feel like home for so many,” the promoter said.
The concert will bring the two acts together on the same stage for one night, giving Filipino music fans in Dubai a chance to see both performers in a single show.
