James Gunn and his stars took to Instagram this week to confirm the next chapter in DC Studios’ Superman saga.
The filmmaker posted the words “Man of Tomorrow. In theaters July 9, 2027,” revealing the title and release date of the follow-up to his 2025 film, "Superman." Actor David Corenswet, who debuted as Clark Kent/Superman in the first film, and Nicholas Hoult, who portrayed Lex Luthor, echoed the announcement in identical posts.
The coordinated messages mark the official unveiling of "Superman: Man of Tomorrow," set to hit theaters in the summer of 2027. The film will continue Gunn’s reboot of DC’s marquee hero, which launched earlier this year with "Superman."
While plot details remain under wraps, Gunn has previously described the new phase of DC storytelling as an interconnected saga spanning multiple films. "Man of Tomorrow" will arrive after "Supergirl" on June 26, 2026, and "Clayface" on September 11, 2026, as part of DC’s expanding lineup.
Warner Bros. and DC Studios have not yet released further information about production or supporting cast.
