The Loyalty Game is a special comeback project for some its cast members, like Carmina Villarroel, Elisse Joson, Yen Santos, Charlie Dizon, and Sofia Andres.

During the series’ media presentation, the cast shared what convinced them to join the suspense-filled thriller series.

“The concept is very interesting. When they pitched it, ang sinabi lang magiging loyalty tester and at that time I wasn't aware so sabi ko, ‘ano iyon?’ kasi they do not reveal too much so it makes me more intrigued,” Elisse told PUSH ABS-CBN.

Elisse took a three-year hiatus from doing acting projects after Pira-pirasong Paraiso. Now returning to take on an interesting and new concept, the actress welcomed the chance to further explore her craft through an unfamiliar character.

“Bago iyon, it’s something I haven't heard before, or done before. Noong nag research ako, nagulat din ako na may mga ganoon pala sa totoong buhay and, as an actor, we want to do a character that we haven’t done before. We want to live a life na hindi namin mbuhay sa totoong buhay so this is interesting to play,” she added.

For Carmina Villarroel, the decision was an easy one. Apart from being drawn to the story, she was excited to finally work with Janine Gutierrez, who plays her daughter in the series.

“There’s no reason for me to say no. Aside from the story itself, I haven't worked with Janine so noong sinabi sa akin an sila makakasama ko, parang malaking factor na kasi maraming artista so gusto ko kahit papaano laging mayroong bago,” Carmina said.

The actress also welcomed the chance to return to ABS-CBN and Star Creatives after several years, saying: “Ang tagal ko na rin hindi nakakagawa sa ABS and sa Star Creatives and sakto na maganda yung binigay sa akin.”

Carmina’s last Kapamilya project was the 2016 romantic drama Till I Met You, which starred then-love team Nadine Lustre and James Reid.

Like her fellow cast members, Yen Santos is also making a comeback through the series and couldn't hide her gratitude for the opportunity.

“Sobrang namiss ko lahat. Namiss ko magtrabaho, yung routine ng paing, magbasa ng script at magkaroon ng bagong kaibigan sa set and siyempre namiss ko talaga umarte because it has always been a big part of who I am. Sobra akong thankful na nabigyan ako ng pagkakataon na gawin yung mahal kong gawin,” Yen shared. “After 8 years, sobrang saya na makabalik ulit.”

Yen’s last series was Halik, where she worked with Jericho Rosales.

Fresh off the success of their recent projects, The Alibi and What Lies Beneath, respectively, Sofia Andres and Charlie Dizon are also joining the ensemble cast in roles that promise to surprise viewers.

For Sofia, the impressive roster of actors was one of the biggest reasons she accepted the role of Beth.

“Aside from the story, it’s the cast,” she said. “They are all magagaling and I want to challenge myself more and it's with Star Creatives so there’s no doubt it’s going to be amazing.”

Charlie, on the other hand, revealed that her character is among the most demanding roles she has taken on so far.

“Sobrang iba. Mentally and physically challenging siya. Wala akong chill na eksena rito. Literal extreme lahat ng eksena ko. Ito rin kasi yung character na winish ko siyang mangyari kasi nga alam kong ma-cha-challenge ako sa character na ito. Todo yung acting dito,” Charlie said.

Directed by Mae Cruz Alviar, The Loyalty Game follows married couple Ana and Ben, whose seemingly stable relationship begins to unravel when Anna suspects her husband is hiding something. Determined to uncover the truth, she hires a group of loyalty testers, only to find herself entangled in a web of dangerous secrets and unexpected revelations.

The series also stars Yassi Pressman, Kira Balinger, and Maika Rivera and will premiere on Prime Video on July 3.
