“Dreams do come true.”
These were the words of Dolly de Leon as she celebrated being part of the DreamWorks Animation film Forgotten Island.
On Instagram, Dolly shared snapshots from the film’s premiere at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art in Los Angeles, California on Wednesday, September 23, and expressed her excitement over reaching another milestone in her career.
"Animated film with a major studio ✔️ and with DreamWorks NO LESS.✔️✔️. Major bonus na tungkol sa ‘tin yung pelikula at major major😉 bonus na nag Filipino si Lola nyo sa film! WILD," she wrote.
Dolly then thanked her stylist and the designer behind her premiere look.
“Salamat mami ko @theljperez for being the most fun playmate and collaborator on this - one of my most favorite fits of all time created by @rjcsantos," she wrote.
She likewise expressed her gratitude to the rest of her team, saying, “Thank you for making me feel like a kid again!”
Dolly concluded her post by inviting moviegoers to catch the film in cinemas.
"FORGOTTEN ISLAND is in cinemas TODAY. Tayo na mga bhie!" she said.
Fans online were quick to react to Dolly's post.

"We’re the happiest for you, so deserve!!!" another fan commented.
Forgotten Island follows Raissa, voiced by Liza Soberano, a young woman who becomes stranded on Nakali, a mysterious island that steals memories, alongside her childhood best friend Jo, voiced by Grammy-winning artist H.E.R.
As they search for a way home, the two must navigate the island’s dangers while facing the possibility that escaping could cost them some of their most treasured memories.
In the movie, Dolly voices Lola Fatima, the grandmother of Jo.

In a recent interview with Karen Davila, Filipino-American director Januel Mercado reflected on the involvement of several Filipino artists in the project, describing it as one of the most exciting aspects of making the film.
"I think one of the coolest experiences since creating this movie, developing this project, the whole community of this talented Filipino artists that have been around and are upcoming, are converging together because... all these artists now, we have BINI and SB19, they are also in our movie and contributing musically," he remarked.
He added: "This is a moment right now that we're riding this moment together, and on top of that this moment is becoming a movement."
Forgotten Island is now showing in Philippine cinemas nationwide.
