Genius has released BINI’s live performance of “A Parallel World,” the soundtrack of the upcoming DreamWorks Animation film Forgotten Island.
The performance also marks BINI’s debut on Genius’ Open Mic series.

Fans online were quick to react to the live performance.

In a previous interview with ABS-CBN News, BINI also shared their experience recording the song for the film.
“We were able to watch the movie na, like way back. So we’re so excited, because the song is super chill, at the same time very nostalgic in the movie. It really matches; it represents the Filipinos," Mikha said.
Aiah, meanwhile, recalled the upbeat and supportive atmosphere during the recording session.
"Super duper fun po, kasi ano sila, very supportive. ’Di ba, nung nagre-record tayo, lagi silang pumapalakpak, nagre-cheer sila. So the energy was just really bright and happy.”

Meanwhile, in a recent interview with Vogue Philippines, the Nation’s Girl Group shared that the song instantly resonated with them even before they flew to the United States to record it.
“[The song] is about friendship, that whatever happens you hold on to each other,” Jhoanna said. "It was relatable to us from the start because I feel like our core as a group is our sisterhood.”
For Jhoanna, the message of the track felt particularly meaningful after years of growing up alongside her fellow BINI members.
“When it comes to the topic of friendship, wala akong ibang iniisip but BINI," she remarked. "BINI is my constant. And the bond that we have right now is something that I cannot compare with anything.”
Forgotten Island centers on Jo, voiced by H.E.R., and Raissa, voiced by Liza Soberano, as they face the uncertainties that come after high school. As their future plans begin to take them in different directions, an unexpected adventure leads them through a mysterious portal to Nakali, a magical island inhabited by fantastical and mythological creatures.
