Days after Yeng Constantino successfully wrapped up her two-day sold-out concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, several celebrity friends took to social media to celebrate the OPM hitmaker’s 20th anniversary in the music industry.
Among those who shared heartfelt messages for Yeng was Erik Santos, who recalled encouraging his longtime friend to push through with her first solo concert despite her initial fears.
“Grabe ang takot mo noon dahil pakiramdam mo, masyadong malaki ang Araneta para sa iyo. Pero Yeng, never akong nag-doubt. Buong-buo ang loob ko na kaya mo itong i-pull off (pa-producer na nga friend! 😅). At heto na nga, hindi mo lang ito basta na-pull off, bro. Pinuno mo ang Araneta hindi lang ng Yengsters, kundi ng pagmamahal, ng mga kuwento, at ng walang katapusang hits,” Erik said.
He also thanked Yeng for the songs she has created for him throughout his career and for being there during some of his biggest milestones: “I will always be deeply grateful for the incredible songs you have created for me through the years. Your words have a way of touching hearts, and sharing those melodies with you is something I truly truly treasure.”
“Beyond your massive talent, sobra akong thankful for your genuine soul, your authenticity and the beautiful friendship we share behind the scenes. Here’s to two decades of breaking boundaries, writing anthems, and inspiring millions. I am so incredibly proud of you, Yeng,” he added.
Kyla, meanwhile, praised Yeng’s performance, particularly her vocals, stage presence, and authenticity in the past two days.
“You were exceptional. Your voice did not waver once through all the songs you sang. And i found myself glued to you during your spiels. I wanted to take more photos and videos pero hindi ko nagawa as much as i wanted to. I couldn’t take my eyes off of you. You are a superstar. ♥️,” she said.
“I think what made your fans and us love you, aside from your big talent syempre, is your honesty. I love how you stay true to who you are. In a world full of false personas there is someone like you who is not afraid to admit their flaws mapa stage man o hindi - you show us the real you. :),” she added.
She also admired how Yeng remains true to herself and continues to celebrate fellow artists: “You don’t hesitate to give others their flowers. The way you celebrate other artists is so inspiring. Yung humility mo tumatagos sa stage. I love that about you. Congratulations!!! Deserve na deserve mo ang lahat ng success and more!!! God Bless You Always!!! Love you ♥️.”
