The Nation's Girl Group BINI appeared in the Australian morning talk show "Today Extra" on Tuesday, September 22.
In the program, the eight-member OPM group talked about their "Signals" world tour, their songs, Filipino music, Coachella experience, and their return to Australia.
"We're very, very excited to be finally back here in Australia and we had a lot of fun last two days ago for our Melbourne concert and we can't wait to perform and meet our Blooms in New Zealand and Sydney. So see you guys," member Colet said.
It's been three years since the last time BINI visited Australia. Sheena shared how the group developed and changed since then.
"I feel like we became more confident, we became more comfortable performing on stage, because in those three years, we were so blessed to be able to perform on different stages inside and outside the Philippines," she said.
For Mikha, she's just so excited to to share their songs from their new extended play "Signals" to Blooms in Australia. The girls also recorded the song "A Parallel World" for the upcoming animated film "Forgotten Island."
"It's very exciting because we love performing in front of our Aussie fans, and we love Australia in general because everyone is just so interactive and we love partying with our fans and that's exactly how our last concert felt like. And honestly felt like a mix emotion concert because our album is actually all about different signals," she said.
In the interview, the group's leader Jhoanna also shared her thoughts on what makes Filipino music so unique.
"I think one of the things that makes Filipino music really special is the heart behind it. Filipinos love storytelling through music, and there's always so much passion and so much emotion in everything that we create or in every performance we do," she said.
Asked what they are most looking forward to do in Australia, BINI Aiah replied: "Well, I've heard that the coffee's really good. They've told us about that. We asked for recommendations, but also, if you can tell us something of what's, like, a good place to check out, or activities to try out here."
In the program, the girls were also asked about their historic performance in Coachella.
"The feeling was surreal and priceless. You know, standing on that stage and hearing the people, sing and dance with us. And of course, we represent the Philippines. It made us really proud and honored, and it was very memorable and were very grateful for that opportunity," Gwen shared.
