Miley Cyrus released her latest single, “Bass Persuades,” on Friday, September 4.
The dance-pop track arrived alongside a music video directed by Mert Alas.
Fans online were quick to share their reactions to the new release.

“Bass Persuades” serves as the lead single from Miley’s upcoming album of the same title.
Miley announced the album on September 2 (Philippine time), revealing that Bass Persuades, her 10th studio album, will be released this September.
"My tenth studio album, BASS PERSUADES, is yours September 18th. Music takes hold of us. We feel it, sing it, sometimes dance to it, let it out and carry on. It is powerful, vulnerable, sweet and strong. Heart full, heartache, every part of life in between. That’s what the title means to me," she posted on her Instagram page.
She went on: "Thank you for being a part of making my wildest dreams come true. I sincerely hope you love this album. ❤️ Miley."
To celebrate the release of her album, Miley will be performing at the Hollywood Bowl for two nights.
"BASS PERSUADES live at the Hollywood Bowl. October 16th & 18th. With special guest @modelactriz," she recently announced.
"It’s been a while. The Hollywood Bowl is my favorite place to experience music and see my favorite artists. I’ve sat in those seats many times, but I’ve never taken the stage. LA is my heart and I’m bringing it home. See you there. ❤️ Miley," she added.
The new music comes months after Miley marked another milestone in her career when she was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in May.
During her acceptance speech, the singer-actress reflected on the significance of the recognition, emphasizing that she never viewed it as a prize to pursue.
"The star isn’t something that you win like a seasonal game. It’s not something that you can chase or collect. It’s not something you make the next record for, and then tote it around like a trophy," she stressed.
Miley also spoke about her commitment to continuing to create and evolve as an artist.
"At 1 [p.m.], this moment will be over, and it’ll go back to being a busy street full of unique people and people that are here exploring for the first time, our city that we all share and that we love so much. After today, I commit to continuing the cycle full of creation, because that is what I truly live for," she remarked.

The Grammy-winning artist also expressed her hope that her work would continue to resonate with future generations.
"My hope is what I leave behind continues to affect the hearts of generations to come, ones that I won’t be here to experience. I hope it awakens something raw and imperfect and sexy and glamorous and joyful in times that need it," she stated.
