As Hannah and Daniel in the iWant Original microdrama “The Chambermaid’s Daughter” Season 2, Alexa Ilacad and Gelo Rivera’s push-and-pull dynamic delivers the perfect blend of tension and kilig whenever they share the screen.
Off-camera, that same spark carried over into a quirky acting challenge, where Alexa and Gelo delivered iconic lines from ABS-CBN series and films while taking on different emotions that allowed them to fully immerse themselves in each performance.
To settle who would go first, they played a quick round of rock-paper-scissors. Gelo lost and gamely stepped up, choosing a prompt from “My Amnesia Girl.” He delivered the line, “Google ka ba? Kasi nasa iyo na ang lahat ng hinahanap ko,” with a sarcastic flair—only for Alexa to tease that she actually felt kilig while watching him.
For Alexa’s turn, she was tasked with delivering a line from “Everyday I Love You” with a flirty twist. Fully committing to the moment, she softly said, “Kandila ka ba? Kasi habang tumatagal, unti-unti akong natutunaw sa tingin mo,” earning Gelo’s nod of approval.
Gelo kept the momentum going as he followed with the line, “Alam mo kung ano ang gusto ko? Tayo,” from “You Changed My Heart.” His confident and supportive delivery impressed Alexa, who couldn’t help but smile.
Then it was Alexa’s turn to take on sarcasm. She was asked to deliver the line, “Salamin ka ba? Kasi kapag tumitingin ako sa’yo, nakikita ko ang future ko,” from “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?” Her perfectly timed annoyed expression became the cherry on top of their playful acting showdown.
Gelo kept the playful energy going as he tried to charm Alexa with a line from “Kahit Isang Saglit.” Looking straight at her, he delivered, “Mahal kita hindi dahil iyon ang tama, kundi dahil ’yon ang totoo,” sparking Alexa’s amused reaction.
To close out the challenge, Alexa went all in with a quote from “Don’t Give Up On Us.” Facing Gelo with excitement, she said, “Kung magkakasala ka, ready ka bang magkasala with me?” Her convincing delivery was enough to make Gelo agree without hesitation.
