From making us kilig with their teleserye and movie portrayals, as well as their random public appearances together, the well-loved tandem of Kim Chiu and Paulo Avelino—fondly dubbed as KimPau—brought their undeniable chemistry and adorable charm to "ASAP XP in Australia," giving their fans and casual spectators another unforgettable core memory.
Introduced by "ASAP XP" mainstays Martin Nievera, Robi Domingo, Darren Espanto, and Alexa Ilacad as one of the most in-demand Kapamilya actors and premiere leading men of ABS-CBN, Paulo was warmly welcomed by deafening shrieks and glistening smiles from the crowd who were clearly excited to see him. Fresh from being named "Outstanding Asian Star" for the Philippines at the 2026 Seoul Drama Awards for his notable performance in "The Alibi," he indeed looked every bit the leading man in a dapper wine-red tailored suit.
He serenaded the audience with his rendition of "Sandalan" by 6Cyclemind, then greeted them with a cheerful, "Kumusta kayo, Australia?" during the interlude. After his solo performance, Paulo took a moment to interact with them, asking if everyone was enjoying the show. While he admitted that he was happy to be there, he also playfully remarked that he felt like something was still missing—and everyone knew exactly who he was referring to.
Thus, he called on Kim to join him onstage and complete the "ASAP XP" experience of their avid shippers. The "Chinita Princess" graced the stage looking radiant in a red strapless gown with her wavy locks cascading down her shoulders, as she and Paulo performed a sweet duet of "Pasulyap-sulyap" by Tootsie Guevarra.
The pair instantly sent the crowd into a kilig frenzy, especially with their playful interactions and sweet gestures, such as the moment when they shared Paulo's microphone and when they did the one-handed dip that brought their faces very close to each other by the end of their performance.
Aside from their playful and kilig-filled banter with each other and the audiences, who were requesting for them to have another duet and kiss, KimPau also took the opportunity to thank the Filipino community in Australia for supporting their series, "The Alibi," and to share some of their most memorable experiences in Sydney.
For Paulo, it was strolling along the Harbour Bridge alongside her, while for Kim, it was meeting some kababayans there, particularly the Bisaya ones like her. This prompted her to proudly reveal that Paulo actually knows how to speak Bisaya and prodded him to demonstrate his newly developed skill.
However, the moment quickly turned into another hilarious KimPau memory as Paulo mistakenly uttered "dako," when it should be "gamay" since what he meant to say was "little." She jokingly corrected him, which made Paulo and everyone laugh at the adorable moment.
