Despite initially feeling unprepared to play “Kapamilya, Deal Or No Deal,” Lucky Star Crisha Uy found herself taking on the challenge after the Lucky Wheel landed on her assigned briefcase, number 11. Pambansang Host Luis Manzano then introduced her as the celebrity player for the game show’s September 19 episode.
Coincidentally, veteran comedian Long Mejia was absent from the studio that same day. Throughout the show’s previous episodes, Long and Crisha had been repeatedly teased over the “romantic tension” supposedly brewing between them, with the pair even spotted going out on “dates” on two occasions.

After Crisha recalled how she eventually stopped pursuing an acting career in showbiz, Luis asked her about the qualities she looks for in a significant other. Crisha shared that she prefers a loyal man who will always be there for her through thick and thin.
As Crisha talked about her ideal partner, Luis was suddenly asked by the production staff to answer a phone call from Long.
Showing his support for Crisha from the other end of the line, Long said he had a hunch that the celebrity player would finally get her chance to go head-to-head against the Banker that evening. After wishing her good luck, Long encouraged Crisha to see the game through until the very end.
The seasoned entertainer also advised Crisha to choose briefcase number 5, which happened to be both Long’s previous briefcase and Crisha’s birth date.
However, Crisha decided to trust her gut and opted to ditch her original briefcase in favor of Mauro Lumba’s briefcase number 8. She explained to Luis that her grandfather particularly liked the number because it resembles the infinity symbol and is also believed to bring good luck in Chinese culture.
