MANILA — The spotlight shone brightly at the Newport Performing Arts Theater for the 3rd Philippine Finest Business Awards and Outstanding Achievers 2025, Tuesday.
The event gathered some of the country’s most influential figures in business, entertainment, sports, government, health, and media for a night dedicated to excellence and innovation.
It was also described not only as a celebration of achievement but also as a reflection of the nation’s commitment to uplift industries and communities through leadership, creativity, and service.
RECOGNIZING EXCELLENCE ACROSS FIELDS
Among the first batch of awardees were:
- Breton Containers, a global leader in ISO-certified refrigerated and offshore container manufacturing.
- Kilay King International Academy, recognized for its contribution to training and education.
- Janice M. Dela Cruz of ManuLife Philippines, awarded for excellence in financial services.
ENTERTAINMENT AND MEDIA ICONS TAKE THE STAGE
The Entertainment Media Icon Award recognized stalwarts such as:
- Roderick Paulate, whose recognition is a fruit of his iconic contributions to the entertainment world such as comedy and film.
- Tirso Cruz III
During his speech, Cruz shared that it really gives him, as an actor, a new drive to really work harder with his craft every time he receives a prestigious award.
“Alam niyo po kaming mga artista every time we’re given a recognition… it gives us a new drive para pagbutihin pa ang aming trabaho… At umasa kayo na pipilitin ko pang ipagpatuloy ang pagpapaganda ng mga nilalabasan kong pelikula,” he said.
He also shared heartfelt words on behalf of colleagues Aga Muhlach and Luis Manzano.
- Enchong Dee, who bridged his dual roles in showbiz and entrepreneurship.
In an interview, Dee expressed gratitude for being part of the awards among this year’s honorees.
“This is my first time attending the Philippine Business Awards and parang ‘yung business heart ko very happy,” he said.
“Maganda kasi na there’s also a representative for the Philippine market na alam mo ‘yun meron tayong matitinong mga negosyante na nagre-represent sa buong bansa natin,” he added.
Meanwhile, the Multimedia Icon Award was given to influential personalities who have shaped modern media:
- Jervi Li, popularly known as KaladKaren
- Toni Gonzaga
- Boy Abunda
SPORTS ICONS HONORED
This year’s Sports Icon Award was conferred to leading sports figures, including:
- Willie Marcial, PBA Commissioner, who proudly tied the honor to the league’s 50th anniversary.
- Ricky Palou, President of the Philippine Volleyball League.
- Mozzy Ravena, respected athlete and volleyball analyst.
SERVICE AND LEADERSHIP RECOGNIZED
Public servants who left a mark on governance and community development received the Service Icon Award:
- Governor Vilma Santos-Recto
- Senator Lito Lapid, whose recognition was accepted by his son, Mark Lapid.
- Mayor Vergel Meneses
- PLt. Col. Geronimo Dimayuga Jr.
The event underscored that excellence in business, service, and creativity knows no boundaries, showing how Filipinos continue to thrive and inspire across diverse fields.
