Filipino-American performer Ken San Jose is set to make his Broadway debut in the 2027 production of the hit rock opera musical "Evita."
"Still processing this... but I'm heading into this new journey with an open heart," he said in an Instagram post on Wednesday, September 23.
"Honored to perform and grow alongside incredible artists in such an iconic show," he added.
American actress Rachel Zegler leads the cast of the upcoming revival of "Evita," which will run at the Winter Garden Theatre next year.
As he prepares for his first Broadway stint, San Jose promised to "give everything I got out there."
"I'm heading into this new journey with an open heart. Honored to perform and grow alongside incredible artists in such an iconic show," he said.
San Jose rose to fame after joining the 2018 reality talent search "World of Dance Philippines," where he topped the junior division and placed third overall.
He went on to become a staple on the ABS-CBN weekly variety show "ASAP," while also venturing into music as a Universal Records artist.
Earlier this year, San Jose joined the cast of the Manila staging of "A Chorus Line," playing the role of Mark Anthony.
