Cinema '76, a micro-cinema located along Tomas Morato Avenue in Quezon City, is set to close after a decade of operation, its management announced Tuesday.
In a statement posted on Instagram, the Cinema '76 management said the movie house would take its "final shot" on October 25, but did not disclose the reason for the closure.
"Before we roll the final credits, we want to spend these remaining weeks with the people who built this space alongside us: you — our moviegoers, patrons, and fellow filmmakers," it told its Instagram followers.
"Consider this our warmest invitation to visit us every chance you get between now and October 25... Let's spend these final days celebrating the art, the food, the culture, the memories, and the community we've built together over the last decade," it added.
The cinema will remain open from Tuesdays to Sundays, starting at 3 p.m., until its final day.
Cinema '76, which also operates a cafe, offers an intimate moviegoing experience while also providing a venue for independent films that are rarely screened in larger theaters.
