MANILA — The No Contact Apprehension Policy (NCAP) will be reimplemented on Metro Manila roads beginning October 5, city governments announced Wednesday.
They said the expanded implementation of NCAP aims to maintain road safety and discipline.
Under the reimplementation, violations will entail standardized fines across the region based on the Metro Manila Traffic Code of 2023.
Motorists can check possible violations on local government units' portals, where they can also contest the apprehension should a mistake arise.
Payment of fines will also be easier through LGUs' online channels, they said.
In July, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority launched the NCAP service on the eGovPH superapp, allowing motorists to check traffic violations and apprehensions and pay fines through a single digital platform.
