MANILA — Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra is, without doubt, one of the most premium Android tablets you can get right now.
Whether as a standalone tablet or clipped to its Pro Keyboard cover, this S-tier device looks and feels like it belongs in the C-suite.
The tablet itself is shockingly thin, with a girth measuring just 5.1mm, which is even thinner than the 7.9 mm of the S26 Ultra flagship phone. Despite its blade-like thinness, the tablet feels surprisingly solid while housing a massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display.
Coupled with the immaculately machined keyboard case, the S12 Ultra looks like it can give the best thin-and-light business laptops a run for their money.
The Tab S12+ follows closely with a 12.6-inch panel, with both displays featuring a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 1,600 nits.

Underneath the hood, Samsung is leveraging MediaTek’s 3nm Dimensity 9500 processor across both devices. The company claims the new silicon offers up to 61 percent faster NPU processing, 19 percent faster CPU performance, and a 17 percent GPU boost compared to the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra.
Thermal management is handled by a newly designed 3D Vapor Chamber, while durable IP68 water and dust resistance remains standard across the line.
LOADED FOR CREATIVES, PROS
On the software front, the series runs Android 17 with One UI 9. A Multi Window layout lets users split the screen into up to three active sections alongside input from the included S Pen.
The Tab S12 series marks the first Android tablet launch to come pre-loaded with Adobe Photoshop, offering tablet-optimized tools alongside generative AI features powered by Adobe Firefly. Samsung says the interface is optimized for tablets, with S Pen support making it more intuitive.
Galaxy Tab S12 users will receive four months of free access to the Photoshop mobile plan, Samsung said. Users also receive a six-month trial of Google AI Pro for Gemini Notebook workflows.
For video professionals, the Galaxy Tab S12 also comes with LumaFusion, with a 66 percent discount.
Also coming preloaded into the Tab S12 is the popular note-taking app Notability, with a six-month free trial and a 20 percent discount on the subscription.
The 11,600mAh battery in the Ultra promises up to 23 hours of use, while the 10,600mAh cell in the Tab S12+ delivers up to 21 hours. Both support 45W fast charging, refueling from empty to full in around 95 minutes.
Samsung is backing both models with up to seven generations of OS upgrades and security updates. Pre-orders kick off on October 9th before rolling out to retail channels later in the month.
Samsung Philippines has not yet announced the prices for these tablets, but with the previous-generation Tab S11 Ultra already costing over P80,000, these newer models are probably going to cost a bit more.
