The footage, obtained from social media user Venus de Mars, captures emergency crews working frantically at the scene while Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers stand nearby and onlookers argue with them.

The footage, shot in portrait and obtained from social media user BigSleez Yup, captures Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents opening the vehicle’s door, standing behind the car and warning nearby witnesses. At one point, the person filming asks the distraught woman if she had been riding with the victim. “That’s my wife,” she replies through tears.
Reuters was able to confirm the location by the buildings, road layout and trees which matched file and satellite imagery of the area and corroborating verified visuals from the scene. The date when the video was taken was verified by the original file metadata.
The woman was shot and killed on Wednesday (January 7) after an encounter with U.S. immigration agents during an enforcement operation, according to local and federal officials, in the latest violent incident linked to President Donald Trump’s nationwide immigration crackdown.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has rejected the Trump administration’s claim that the agent fired in self-defense, saying video of the shooting contradicts what he called the government’s “garbage narrative.”
The Department of Homeland Security said the officer fired after a “violent rioter” attempted to run over ICE agents in what it described as an act of domestic terrorism. The killing triggered large protests in the area, with heavily armed federal agents later firing chemical irritants at demonstrators.
