Screengrab/ANTA Philippines FacebookMANILA — The UST Growling Tigers emerged triumphant in the one-day Asiabasket ANTA KAI 3x3 tournament on Saturday at the Gateway Mall 2 in Quezon City.
The España-based ballers, composed of Amiel Acido, Gelo Crisostomo, Lorenzo Bangco, and Mur Alao, turned back San Beda Red Lions, 20-18, in the finale to win the inaugural title during the "KAI Space Manila 2026."
They were actually trailing late, 16-13, but found the 7-2 decisive pull away to snatch the match from San Beda's Kyle Jamora, JC Bonzalida, JE Lopez, and Lawrence Hawkins.
"Preparation na rin namin 'to for the upcoming UAAP 3x3," said Acido, who was named MVP of the competition.
The Growling Tigers took home P100,000 in cash prizes.

The event also saw the exclusive release of ANTA KAI 3 "432Hz," part of Kyrie Irving's signature shoe line, inspired by the "432 Hz frequency waves that are believed to be a frequency of balance, harmony and energy that creates calmness to both body and mind."
