MANILA — Chad Gammad of the Letran Knights recently caught the attention of the public after his relationship with Apple David came out in the open.
Despite this, the Letran sophomore emphasized that he is keeping his focus on basketball as he also embraces the challenges and pressure for the upcoming NCAA Season 102 basketball tournament.
Gammad, who seeks to make a name for himself in collegiate hoops, was signed by sportswear brand ANTA Philippines to be its ambassador in a multi-year deal on Wednesday.

Joining him as ANTA athletes are University of Santo Tomas’ Carl Manding, and University of the East women’s Rachel Lacayanga.
“My preparations right now are just practicing every day, just trying to get better every day for the upcoming season, and I’m taking it day by day,” Gammad told reporters.
“I’m just hoping I do get a good season so I could put my name out there,” he also said.
Gammad said that David, who also works as courtside reporter for the PBA, knows the importance of basketball to him.
“She’s helping me every day by just being there. She’s very caring of me, she understands that basketball is really important for me,” he said.
The young Letran guard hopes to shut out the noise as he keeps his focus on his collegiate career.
“[I'll be] staying off a little less on social media, [won't read] comments what they say about you and blocking out the noise,” he said.
