Sibol, the Philippines’ esports contingent, clinched another bronze medal, this time in the Honor of Kings tournament at the 2026 Asian Games after loss against powerhouse China, 0-2, in the semifinals on Monday at the Aichi-Sky Expo Hall.
The Filipinos entered the semifinals on the heels of a dominant 2-0 sweep of South Korea in the quarterfinals on Sunday, a victory that had already secured at least a bronze medal for the country.

China, however, proved too strong for the Filipinos taking both games to book its place for the gold medal match.
Sibol’s semifinal appearance assured the Philippines of a podium finish, as the two teams that lost in the semifinals both received bronze medals.

The medal marks the second podium finish for Philippine esports in the Games, after the Pokémon Unite team winning another bronze medal, on Sunday.
Sibol's Honor of Kings campaign began in the group stage before the Philippines advanced to the knockout stage. The squad then swept South Korea in the quarterfinals to reach the final four to secure its medal.
This gives another podium finish for the Philippines as Sibol continues its campaign across multiple titles in the continental meet.
