MANILA — Colegio de San Juan de Letran scored a straight sets victory over De La Salle University for a fourth win in a row in the 2026 V-League Collegiate Challenge.
The Knights overcame deficits in the second and third sets en route to a 25–18, 29–27, 25–23 result on Sunday at the Gameville Central Park in Mandaluyong City.
The victory put the Knights a step closer towards a playoff spot.
"Gusto kong ibigay yung credits sa mga players kasi yung instructions ng mga coaches, nakikinig (sila) at nape-perform nila. Mahirap kasi pag sa crucial na, nagbigay ka ng instructions pero hindi sumunod yung players," said head coach Jessie Lopez.
Jessel Nimo delivered a breakthrough performance for Letran, finishing with 20 points on 17 kills, two blocks, and an ace, while also recording two digs and six excellent receptions.

Dave Lardizabal remained steady for the Knights with 11 points, 10 of which came from timely attacks, while Vince Himzon chipped in 10 markers.
Letran will have two chances to secure the coveted semifinals berth, beginning with its matchup against winless Mapua University (0–3) on September 13 at 3 p.m.
For La Salle, Issa Ousseini led the Green Spikers with 18 points on 16 kills and two blocks, while Rui Ventura was held to 10 points, all coming from attacks.
The Green Spikers slipped to 2–2 and will look to bounce back against struggling University of Santo Tomas (0–3) in their rescheduled match on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
