Joseph Marco warmed the hearts of the netizens after adopting a lost kitten he found while on his way home.
In a clip shared on his Instagram page, Joseph documented the moment he discovered the kitten, took it home, and gave it food and shelter.
"I wasn’t planning on adopting any more. My hands are already full. But yesterday, on my way home in the rain, I saw this tiny kitten, lost and all alone," he relayed.
"And in that moment, I knew. When fate places a little soul in your path like that, you don’t turn away. So here we are. Welcome home, little angel. I’m so glad you found me," he added.
Fans online were quick to react to Joseph's kind gesture.
"You already have so many, yet you still made space for one more. Shows how soft and kind your heart truly is. The world needs more people like you. God bless you po, Kuya," one fan commented.
"Thank you po for adopting this little cutie," another fan wrote.
Long before his recent adoption of a stray kitten, Joseph Marco had already opened his heart and home to another feline in need.
In a post back in March 2023, the actor shared a video on Instagram chronicling the recovery of his cat, Maxik. The video traced the animal’s transformation from a wounded and bleeding kitten he found in a Makati alley five months earlier to a healthy, thriving pet.
”We’ve found this hopeless little fella in the busy streets of Makati,” he captioned his post at that time, revealing that the kitten had a deep gash on its leg and was visibly terrified and weak when he found it.
Moved by the animal’s condition, Joseph decided to adopt it. He brought Maxik to the vet, provided it with food, shelter, and unconditional care.
“Animals don’t have a voice. They can’t ask for help or plead for freedom,” read the text in the video he shared in 2023. “Humanity must be their voice… Maxik teels us everyone deserves a chance.”
