SexBomb Girls member Evette Pabalan shared that she discovered a new side of herself outside of the girl group when she started living in Canada. In a lengthy Facebook post, the celebrity dancer expressed her gratitude towards the fans who are still looking for her to join the future activities of the SexBomb Girls but she has other priorities already.

Evette previously went home to the Philippines as she joined the reunion concerts of the SexBomb Girls. After the successful shows, she quietly went back to Canada where she has already settled down along with her family.

She shared several screenshots coming from fans sharing their opinions about her decision to “move away” from the limelight which the SexBomb Girls are currently enjoying once more. While she is happy for the resurgence of her group, she is firm about her decision despite what others may think is “normal.”

“I do understand what you guys mean, and I’m genuinely happy for the girls who are back in the limelight. Totoo naman, kapag gusto may paraan; kapag ayaw, may dahilan. Pero when I read ‘you opted for a normal life,’ parang lumalabas na mali ang naging choice ko,” she wrote.

She recalled how when the SexBomb Girls were inactive in the past, there would be comments from netizens about their appearance–– looking old, gaining weight, and losing star factor.

“Noong tahimik ang grupo, marami rin kaming narinig tungkol sa pagtanda, pagtaba, at pagiging laos. Kaya masaya akong makita na nabibigyan ulit ng pagkakataon ang mga girls. Bawat isa sa amin may sariling path, and I’m glad they can make the most of the opportunities there,” she added.

When Evette made the decision to come back for the reunion concerts, she already knew she would eventually return to Canada where she has a career of her own. She is hopeful that fans would understand her decision not to join the future activities of the SexBomb Girls as a long-term career with them was in the option for her.

“I had already built a life in Canada, with my own career, plans, and dreams. I’m a wife and a mom, and my family is a big part of the decisions I make. At the same time, I have my own goals and choices, and I hope those can be respected, too,” she asserted.

Beyond singing and dancing, Evette maintained that she already found herself in Canada and the Filipino community who has been supportive of her. She assured her fans that she won’t be hiding her talents but it’s not the job for her anymore.

“It's something I can enjoy as a hobby rather than the livelihood it once was. I’ll always be grateful for the group and the memories, and to everyone who has supported me and the girls from Round 1 through Round 5 and continues to support us today. I’m proud of the girls, and I hope we can celebrate one another while choosing different paths. Maraming salamat po sa pag-unawa at patuloy na suporta,” she ended.

Fans of Evette expressed their support in the comment section of her post.

Recently, the SexBomb Girls released a new single, “Mama Mama,” which featured several P-pop groups in the music video.
