It’s been three years since she was crowned Miss Universe Philippines and Michelle Dee has continually made her mark not just in pageants, but as an actress and model in the country.
Known for being one of the country’s most fashionable personalities, Michelle graced the Preview Ball this year wearing a custom made deconstructed gown from Proud Race. The 31-year-old beauty queen was not shy when she revealed to PUSH ABS-CBN that she still feels awkward in front of the cameras.
“Yes of course, 100%. Every time that I’m about to step in any event, in any stage, in front of any camera, I always feel nervous. It’s not something that gets easier just because you do it. It’s something that I get used to like a muscle. But of course, every time that I’m expected to be in front of the camera, you want to perform. And the more you feel nervous, the more you care. So it’s important for me to get nervous,” she shared during the Preview Ball held at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City.

When she is not busy with commitments in the showbiz and fashion industry, Michelle, also known as MD, admitted she also helps grow her finances by investing in stocks.
“I have a very diversified portfolio, so from tech stocks to what I do for a living also. It’s really important to just make sure your portfolio is diversified. You never know what’s going to happen and ako kasi medyo I like doing a lot of things. I have a lot of passions. So in order to continue doing that, you have to make sure that you know how to make money from those passions,” she advised.

“I have a lot of the tattoos that are exposed have a very deep meaning to me so all good things come to those who deserve it, good karma, chi, and to always choosing a better version of yourself. And also this on my wrist means time is finite. Don’t waste time because it’s the only resource you cannot replace,” she said.

During the event, MD also shared with PUSH ABS-CBN what she can never leave home without and why it’s important to her.
“I guess my phone or my camera. Because I think as long as I have my phone, I can make anything happen, from your wallet to your contracts to just whatever you need in that moment. My camera also because even if I don’t have my phone, I do love capturing moments. I love being behind the camera, even more than being in front of the cameras. That’s something I like to do as well,” she added.
