Their meeting came after Rovelyn previously revealed that she and Angelica almost met in September but had not been able to do so because of their schedules.
"Nagkakilala kami kasi may isa akong kaibigan na kaibigan din niya. Noong pumunta kami noong September 15 po dito, muntikan na sana kaming magkita. Pero may lakad din po ako, tapos siya nagla-live [online]. Kaya hindi kami nagkita. Baka sa susunod magkita na kami," she said in a previous aftershow chat following her interview with Boy Abunda.
At the time, Rovelyn also said that if they finally got the chance to meet, she simply wanted to catch up with Angelica.
"Magkamustahan lang siguro," she said.
Rovelyn became more widely known online following the death of her son Rene in a drowning incident in June 2026.
Since then, the Baterbonia family has started a business featuring merchandise and memorabilia dedicated to Rene. The venture drew mixed reactions online, with some people supporting the family while others accused them of profiting from his death.
Earlier this month, Rovelyn addressed the criticism and denied profiting from her son's passing, saying that she never asked people for money.

Angelica, meanwhile, has also been a subject of public discussion following the highly publicized family rift involving her son Carlos.
The family conflict gained widespread attention following Carlos' historic campaign at the 2024 Paris Olympics, where he won two gold medals. Their issues included disagreements over finances and Angelica's disapproval of Carlos' relationship with his now-fiancée, Chloe San Jose.
Both mothers have since become familiar personalities on social media, making their first face-to-face meeting a moment that drew attention from netizens.
