Kapamilya actress Maris Racal celebrated her 12th year in the showbiz industry earlier this week in a meaningful way. In her Instagram post, the former Pinoy Big Brother housemate gave back to the community by distributing free bags of rice to jeepney drivers.
Maris entered the showbiz industry after her successful stint on PBB, where she placed as first runner-up. Since then, the Kapamilya star has proven her acting prowess through various television shows and movies.

“12 years na ako sa industria 🤍 happy anniversary to us mariestellers. love you all so much!” she wrote.
In her post, Maris can be seen holding a sign that reads "free rice" and stopping jeepney drivers to give them several kilos of rice. Based on the video, she was handing out the rice inside the campus of the University of the Philippines Diliman alongside some of her fans.
Netizens expressed how meaningful this move was, especially for the jeepney drivers. Fans of the actress congratulated her in the comment section for another year in the showbiz industry.

Maristellers, the official fan club of the actress, shared more photos of their celebration on their official social media account. Apart from the rice donation, jeepney drivers were also treated to a free meal.
“Happy 12th Anniversary, Maris & Mariestellers!! 💖 Thank you again for joining us in this meaningful celebration 🎉 This is just the start of more to come!” the fan club expressed.
Maris previously admitted that she had considered giving up her career, but decided against it because she loves what she does.
“I love my dream so much na kahit anong problema kahit anong pag subok, gagawin ko siya. I love my dreams, I love my job, I love everything about this. Kaya parang gagawin ko lahat para matupad yung pangarap na ' to,” she previously shared.
“At one point I thought I was gonna lose it but here I am. I’m thankful for my supporters, for the production houses that gave me a job, for my directors, and for all of my colleagues who empower me,” she continued.
