Filipina K-pop idol Gehlee Dangca received a warm welcome from fans as she returned to the Philippines on Tuesday, September 29, marking the beginning of a new chapter in her career.
In photos and videos shared online, the young artist could be seen smiling as fans greeted her with flowers and banners at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport.
“After spending the past three years in South Korea building her career and performing on the global K-pop stage, Gehlee’s return to the Philippines marks a special moment for both the young artist and her supporters. Fans who came to the airport greeted her with banners, cheers, and messages of support, giving Gehlee a warm welcome as she begins a new chapter closer to home,” said in a press release.
Her local fanbase, Gehlee’s Lovies Dreamhouse, shared a video of the singer receiving a garland and bouquet of flowers from fans at the airport.
“Gehlee was warmly welcomed at the airport by our fanbase, Gehlee’s Lovies Dreamhouse, with a garland and a bouquet of flowers. Thank you everyone for the love and support you’ve given her today. She’s a happy princess indeed.”
Gehlee’s mother, Sahlee Grace Dangca, also shared her excitement over her daughter’s return and encouraged her to embrace the opportunities ahead.
“Live every day welcoming opportunities and a grateful heart. It is your journey and you are the only one who can navigate it. We are just here to guide and support you. This is just the beginning, stay tuned on what's next for Gehlee 👀,” she wrote.
Sahlee also thanked Gehlee’s supporters who took the time to welcome the young idol home, saying: “Thank you guys for spending time and lots of effort in welcoming Gehlee. Super saya ng Prinsesa! See you again soon! Mwah!! Love you guys 💘.”
