Filipina K-pop idol Gehlee Dangca is returning to the Philippines to pursue a solo career following the end of her idol group UNIS’ activities in South Korea.
An exclusive press release shared by Universal Records revealed that Gehlee is set to return home on September 29 after spending several years in South Korea to live out her K-pop dreams.
“After three years of living and pursuing her dreams in South Korea, Filipina singer and former UNIS member Gehlee Dangca is coming home to the Philippines on September 29 to embark on an exciting new chapter in her career—one that will see her pursuing opportunities both in the Philippines and on the international stage,” they wrote.

The record label also teased upcoming activities and projects for Gehlee in the local entertainment industry, giving fans a chance to find out more of what the young artist has to offer.
“Fans can look forward to seeing more of Gehlee in Philippine media and entertainment, with upcoming activities and projects that will allow audiences to discover more sides of the young artist. Her return marks an exciting opportunity for Gehlee to reconnect with Filipino fans while continuing to grow her career and explore new opportunities in her home country and internationally,” they added.
Gehlee will continue her career with Universal Records Philippines as her recording label, while GLXY Talent Management and Star Horizon TV Production will oversee her management in the Philippines.
Gehlee first gained international attention through Universe Ticket, the South Korean survival show that formed UNIS. She officially debuted with the group in March 2024 and spent the following two and a half years based in Korea, gaining experience as a K-pop performer.
Her homecoming comes after F&F Entertainment announced that UNIS’ official group activities would conclude at the end of their scheduled contract period on September 26.
"The company and the members have continuously discussed the contract period and the direction of their future activities. After thorough discussions, we have ultimately decided to conclude UNIS’s official activities as a full group in accordance with the originally scheduled contract period," F&F said in the statement that was translated into English by K-pop news website Soompi.
F&F Entertainment also thanked the members for their work as UNIS and said it would support them as they pursue their respective paths.
"Although their official activities together as UNIS will come to an end, we will also sincerely support the members as they embark on new beginnings, continue pursuing their dreams in their respective paths, and grow further," it said.

UNIS is composed of Korean members Yunha, Seowon, and Yoona; Japanese members Nana and Kotoko; Filipino members Gehlee and Elisia Parmisano; and Filipino-Korean member Hyeonju.
Earlier this year, the group visited the Philippines to perform at the 2026 Otaku Pop Fes at Okada Manila.
