Newlyweds Dariz Kho and Emman Pelayo received a wedding surprise they will never forget.
Last September 21, during their reception at Ad Meliora Countryside Garden in Amadeo, Cavite, multimedia superstar James Reid walked through the doors, took the mic, and turned their first night as husband and wife into a full-fledged celebration.
The couple had no idea Reid was coming. As a personal gift to the two of them, the "Palm Dreams" hitmaker performed a set featuring the title track and "Attention" from his third studio album, "Honey, I'm Home," which was released last September 10.

Reid chose a wedding as one of his first live performances for the album. And there was no better room to bring a record to that treats home as a feeling of being with the people they choose to share their lives with rather than a physical location.
The couple's story began in the most ordinary of settings. They first met in the Camp Aguinaldo Tennis Court, where they happened to have the same tennis coach. After one coach and a few rallies, they officially became a couple on January 7, 2024, and engaged on September 29, 2025.
Tennis remained at the center of their story, so it naturally set the tone for the big day. The celebration went full Wimbledon, with guests dressed in crisp whites and greens and a glass garden pavilion that shone against the Cavite landscape.
It felt like a summer afternoon at the courts, but with more music and much more love.

When the Kapamilya A-list star took the stage, the entire audience focused on the couple. Warm, soulful, and easy, his songs became the soundtrack to their first night as husband and wife, sung for the family and friends who had been rooting for them since the first serve. By the end of the album, the title had become more of a toast: Dariz and Emman consider home to be wherever the other is.
"It's not something I usually get to do, but the timing worked out this time," Reid explained.
"After hearing Dariz and Emman's story, I was glad I could be a small part of their day. Seeing how happy they were really made my night. I wish them the best in their next chapter together."

The bride received a surprise that everyone in the room will remember for a long time. "I'm very grateful to James for doing this," the bride said. "Our guests thoroughly enjoyed the experience. They can't stop discussing it."
For what it's worth, the day was all about the people who brought the husband and wife together and the new life they're starting.
Reid's surprise set was just another way to toast them. Or, as the couple might say: game, set, match.
