Sony ULT Squad members SB19, Maki, KAIA, and more brought the ultimate music experience to COVE Manila as they took the stage for Sony Philippines’ Beyond The Beat: The Next-Level ULT POWER SOUND Experience on September 19 held at COVE Manila, Okada Manila.

The event marked the biggest launch of Sony Philippines’ ULT POWER SOUND lineup, bringing together guests from the MySony General Admission, Elite, and Platinum tiers, as well as industry guests.

One of the biggest moments of the night was SB19, who made their first appearance as the newest member of the Sony ULT Squad.

The P-pop group performed some of their hits, including “LAWLESS,” “CRIMZONE,” and “I Want You.” They also got the crowd dancing with “DUNGKA!” which recently earned major awards at the 38th AWIT Awards, winning Best Dance/Electronic Recording, Best Pop Recording, and Best Music Video.

Opening the show was A-Team, who set the tone with a high-energy performance, followed by Carlos Serrano III, who added his own distinct presence to the evening’s lineup.

Beyond the performances, guests also got the chance to explore Sony’s new ULT POWER SOUND lineup through a series of interactive installations throughout the venue. The "Step into the Beat” zone featured an arcade-inspired setup with ULT Towers and a dance pad, while the “ULT Selfie Club” gave attendees a lively backdrop for photos.

Over at “ULT Cover Star,” guests paired ULT Field speakers with designer pieces by Alser Lumawag for a fashion-forward experience. KOLs and VIP guests, meanwhile, enjoyed the nightlife-inspired atmosphere of “The Bass District.” Additionally, the Karaoke Lounges offered a chance to grab the mic and experience the new ULT lineup’s party-ready sound.

Some also went home with their own ULT POWER SOUND speakers after winning in the raffle and Best Dressed category.

The event also gave a look at Sony’s latest ULT POWER SOUND lineup, featuring the ULT TOWER 5, ULT TOWER 7, and ULT TOWER MAX.

In a statement, Sony Philippines said that the new addition were “designed to deliver deeper bass, powerful sound, and party-ready features. Built with newly developed large circular woofers, large capacity speaker cabinets and ULT DUCT, the next generation ULT POWER SOUND series lineup delivers stronger low-frequency bass performance than ever before."

"The ULT TOWER MAX delivers the most powerful bass in the ULT POWER SOUND series yet, while the ULT TOWER 7 offers stage-worthy sound in a portable design. The compact ULT TOWER 5 brings impressive bass and karaoke with DJ capabilities to smaller gatherings," it added.

Sony Philippines’ President and Managing Director Shuhei Sugihara, Product Marketing Specialist of Sony Philippines Keira Ambubuyog, and Senior Marketing Communications Executive of Personal Audio Systems Arbie Bandiling, were also present at the event.

Speaking with PUSH ABS-CBN, Senior Marketing Communications Executive of Personal Audio Systems Arbie Bandiling explained that the ULT POWER SOUND lineup was created in response to consumers looking for heavier bass and greater sound pressure as their X-Series lineup focused more on delivering balanced sound.

"Also, ULT Power Sound series became our tool to closely work with creators and artists to make sure our products are able to deliver not just a good sound but how they want their music to be felt," he added.

Meanwhile, Sony Philippines President and Managing Director Shuhei Sugihara highlighted how the new ULT POWER SOUND lineup offers a new experience for users different from other audio products.

"Compared to other audio products, the ULT POWER SOUND series is not engineered in the factory...it's developed together with the artists to make the sound really real. It feels like [being in the] studio with the artist. It's how much we can realize the sound intended by the artists... This is [a] very different point from other audio [categories.]"

He also pointed out that the speakers have an ULT button which allows users to adjust the level of bass according to their preference, while the 360-degree Party Sound feature lets them immerse themselves in the music fully.

The ULT TOWER MAX, ULT TOWER 7, and ULT TOWER 5 are now available at Sony Centers and authorized dealers nationwide.
