South Korean actor Lee Jae-wook takes on the role of a worker who is thrust into a series of mysterious and dangerous situations after accepting a high-paying job in the upcoming horror-mystery series "Dead-End Job."
The series is set to haunt Netflix beginning October 30, the streaming service said in a recent press statement, as it unveiled a teaser poster and trailer.
Jae-wook portrays Hyeok-jun, a man desperate to escape crushing debt who takes a job through the mysterious Spider Staffing Agency, which promises to pay him 50 times the minimum hourly wage.
Assigned to what appears to be an ordinary convenience store, Hyeok-jun soon finds himself caught in nightmarish and life-threatening situations.
The teaser video shows Hyeok-jun applying at the staffing agency and reacting with surprise when he learns about the lucrative pay.
But once he begins work at what appears to be a convenience store, he discovers that the job is anything but easy, facing one grueling ordeal after another, including encounters with moth-like creatures and a creepy clown.
The series marks the directorial debut of Kim Da-min, who previously wrote the Netflix crime thriller "A Killer Paradox."
