Cortis will make history as the first K-Pop group to perform at the halftime show of the NBA All-Star Week.
The NBA has announced that the K-Pop group will headline the halftime show at the 2026 Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game, taking place in California's Kia Forum on February 13.
Fans online were quick to express their excitement about the news.
"I''m so excited. Hope they will perform GO!" one fan commented.
"Let's go Cortis!" another fan wrote.
Back in January, Cortis was named "Friends of the NBA," which is the celebrity and influencer program in Asia of the league.
As per press release by NBA in January, following the appointment, CORTIS "will celebrate the intersection of sports and music" and "will attend NBA games and events, collaborate with the league on a variety of original content initiatives, co-develop NBA-branded apparel and merchandise, participate in the league’s promotional activities, and more."
Cortis expressed their elation to achieve the said feat.
"Joining the 'Friends of the NBA' is a milestone we didn't imagine reaching so early in our career. As a group that strives to 'color outside the lines,' we see a natural connection between our music and the creative, boundary-pushing spirit of the NBA, and we aim to bring that same intensity to our music and performances," the group said.

Consisting of James, Juhoon, Martin, Seonghyeon, and Keonho, Cortis made their debut in August 2025 under Big Hit Music with the release of their single "What You Want", off their first extended play (EP) Color Outside the Lines.
Released on September 8, the EP sold around 250,000 copies on its first day, setting a new record for the highest first-day sales among K-Pop acts that debuted in 2025.
Cortis recently won Best New Artist at the 2025 MAMA Awards and Rookie Artist of the Year at the Golden Disc Awards.
