MANILA -- Singer-songwriter Fern. has released music video of his song "Kahit Na Umulan," which was shot in Canada.
This happened after the song went viral on social media platform TikTok via the Dinorobong Tubo dance trend.
According to Fern., he was not expecting the renewed attention for "Kahit Na Umulan."
“All of a sudden it became a trend, but none of those are controlled by us,” said Fern. “We put the song out there, and I think people have just gotten accustomed to my vibe, sound, and brand.”
Fern. believes that listeners are now looking for emotionally driven music. “People are getting tired of fast, upbeat stuff,” he said. “The heartfelt ones are making a huge comeback. It’s a cycle.”
On the song’s pairing with the humorous Dinorobong Tubo dance trend, Fern. said: “It’s funny and unexpected, but I rode with it.”
