
ABS-CBN continues to gain recognition for its programs and stars as it received a slew of honors at the 29th Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP) Golden Dove Awards.
The suspense-thriller series “What Lies Beneath,” which starred Charlie Dizon, Janella Salvador, Kaila Estrada, and Sue Ramirez, was named Best Drama Program for Television for its compelling storytelling and powerful cast.
Gerald Anderson, one of the lead stars of the crime-action series “Sins of the Father,” was named Best Actor for his outstanding performance as Samuel Trinidad.
Julia Montes’ portrayal of Anna Sarmiento in the drama “Saving Grace” also earned nods, she took home the Best Actress award for her role in the series.
ABS-CBN’s longest-running variety program, “ASAP XP,” won Best Variety Program for Television for “ASAP in England,” which brought the Filipino concert experience to overseas audiences.
In news and public service, the ABS-CBN News documentary “BINI Chapter 3: Hanggang Dulo,” which chronicles BINI’s journey and rise to global stardom, bagged the Best Special Program honor.
ABS-CBN News Documentaries, meanwhile, received the Best Documentary Program for Television award for its impressive investigative journalism, while “My Puhunan: Kaya Mo!” won Best Public Service Program for its inspiring entrepreneurial content.
The KBP Golden Dove Awards honors top personalities, TV and radio shows, and public service campaigns in the Philippines.
