ABS-CBN continues to elevate Filipino talent and storytelling on the world stage as several of its shows and personalities, including Vice Ganda, were named national winners at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2026, with the winners set to compete against the best in the region at the Grand Awards Gala and Red Carpet, which will be held in Singapore in December.
Vice Ganda emerged as the national winner for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal of Twinkle Reyes in the comedy-drama film “Call Me Mother.”
ABS-CBN’s first Filipino limited series, “The Silent Noise,” which is in collaboration with Prime Video and top-billed by Angelica Panganiban and Zanjoe Marudo, took home the Best Drama Series award, while its director, Onat Diaz, took home the Best Direction (Scripted) honor.
The Philippine adaptation of “It’s Okay To Not Be Okay,” which starred Anne Curtis, Carlo Aquino, and Joshua Garcia, took home the Best Adaptation of an Existing Format (Scripted) award.
Veteran broadcast journalist Rico Hizon was hailed Best Entertainment Host for “Rated R: The Rico Hizon Podcast.”
The Asian Academy Creative Awards honors excellent content and media productions across multiple platforms in the Asia Pacific region.
