Joining the May 24 episode of the hit community singing game show “Everybody, Sing!” was guest singer Klarisse De Guzman, who showcased her vocal prowess in the “The ChooSing One” segment,” performing her song “Ikaw Ay Ako.”

Klarisse has graced countless stages with her powerhouse vocals and fiery energy, making her one of the performers audiences always love to watch. In this exclusive interview with ABS-CBN Studios, she candidly shares her singing anecdotes and habits both on and off the stage.
When it comes to pre-performance rituals, Klarisse appears to trust the process—memorizing lyrics and staying focused on the task at hand.
Other than that, the “Soul Diva” also likes to munch on snacks and light food before her set, especially boiled eggs. “Kumain ng itlog. Favorite ko lang talaga siya. Pantawid gutom, kasi mahirap kumanta ‘pag busog na busog ka,” she says, adding that while she doesn’t avoid eating any particular food, she makes sure to drink plenty of water before singing onstage.
Her “The Big Night” concert in September 2025 remains Klarisse’s most unforgettable performance. “Syempre first time kong mag-solo concert sa Araneta [Coliseum]. Lahat ng performances doon memorable sa akin,” she shares. Meanwhile, her performances on “ASAP” are among the most challenging for her. “Minsan hindi mo comfort genre ‘yung kakantahin mo, hindi mo siya masyado alam pero kailangan mong i-perform,” she admits.
Klarisse shares that most of her funny onstage moments come from occasionally forgetting lines, stumbling while singing, and experiencing other small mishaps. She sees these as embarrassing yet fun experiences that add to the joy of being a singer.
With many songs to her name, the Kapamilya singer still has a list of artists she dreams of working and jamming with someday. She confesses that she’d love to sing with social media personality Toni Fowler, and on the international side, she hopes to collaborate with global pop star Sabrina Carpenter.
When asked about her favorite song to perform, Klarisse gives an unexpected answer—naming none other than “Boom Panes” by Vice Ganda. She also reveals that her most-loved track from Meme Vice is “Boom Karakaraka,” even giving a playful sample complete with dance moves.
