In a behind-the-scenes vlog with Director Theodore Boborol, viewers got a closer look at how the cast and crew prepared to return for Season 2 of “The Chambermaid’s Daughter.”
Day 1 kicked off with high energy on set. Breathing life into Hannah Montano-Song, lead star Alexa Ilacad shared her excitement—and nerves—about returning for another season of “The Chambermaid’s Daughter,” saying, “I'm excited [and] nervous. Kailangan maging fresh.” Echoing her sentiments, Gelo Rivera, who portrays Daniel Jeon, added with a grin, “Kaya ‘yan, dapat kabahan.”
GeLex is ready to take their bond and chemistry to the next level as they step into a new chapter for their characters. On their first day of shooting, Alexa and Gelo were seen preparing for their scenes and fully immersing themselves in their roles under the guidance of Direk Ted. Even during rehearsals, their undeniable spark was already on full display.
Season 2 of “The Chambermaid’s Daughter” also welcomes fresh faces who are set to stir up even more drama in Hannah and Daniel’s story. Gail Banawis joins the cast as Yuna Raymundo, the General Manager of Dynasty Hotel, while Pancake Hong steps into the role of Madam J, Daniel’s stepmother, who playfully teased, “Get ready, Hannah.”
Jinho Bae takes on the role of Mr. Bang, while Kei Kurosawa returns as Brenda Song—the third person in Hannah and Daniel’s love triangle. On her first day back as Brenda, Kei admitted, “I feel excited and nervous, pero kaya. Excited.” Meanwhile, Jinho was already getting into character, eager to dive into his new role.
Following the announcement of the new season, fans have been buzzing about Alexa and Gelo’s much-awaited first on-screen kiss. Asked how they were preparing for the moment, Alexa playfully quipped, “Hindi kami kakain ng malalansa.” Her remark drew laughs on set, helping ease the tension before the big scene. True enough, their kissing scene is one of the highlights fans won’t want to miss.
More kilig moments from Gelo and Alexa followed both on and off cam as they rehearsed their sequences together, from Hannah and Daniel’s rooftop scenes to intimate moments in their hotel room. GeLex fans later added to the excitement by surprising the Kapamilya tandem with food and cake on set to celebrate the sequel.
The energy didn’t stop there, as the cast continued to share laughs between takes. As filming came to a close, Gail and Meann Espinosa (Sabrina), shared their hopes for more seasons to come. Gelo and Alexa capped the day with a tight hug, excited to bring viewers into this new chapter of Daniel and Hannah’s blossoming relationship.
